C.I.P.A. welcomes three distinguished new judges
TORONTO, June 4, 2002 - The Canadian Information Productivity Awards (C.I.P.A.)
welcomes three distinguished new members of its National Judging Committee.
The Committee, now with 13 members from across Canada, has begun deliberations
to select organizations to receive C.I.P.A. Awards of Excellence for 2002,
as well as winners of our Best of Category and Best of Show Solution awards.
Committee chair Paul Nelson has announced that the new committee members
are:
- Frank Anderson, vice-president enterprise infrastructure and operations
in the IS/IT department of Bell Canada. Mr. Anderson is directing the convergence
of the IT infrastructure across the Bell companies;
- D. Scott Campbell, former corporate chief information officer of the Province
of Ontario. Mr. Campbell retired in 2001 and is running his own consulting
company, advising clients on using IT to transform large public- and private-sector
organizations;
- Faye West, director of information systems at the Alberta Research Council
in Edmonton. Ms. West recently retired as a national director of the Canadian
Information Processing Society, of which she was president in 2000/2001.
The National Judging Committee's work is at the heart of the C.I.P.A. mission.
Decisions made by the committee are watched closely by Canadian senior executives
wishing to identify the best strategic applications of information technology
in both the private and public sectors. Award-winning solutions will be
presented at C.I.P.A.'s multi-media banquet in Toronto on November 27.
