The chief executive of one of Canada's best-known technology research companies has joined the National Judging Panel of the Canadian Information Productivity Awards.
Vito Mabrucco, managing director of IDC Canada and a 25-year veteran of the Canadian information and communications technology industry, will help select the 2007 award of excellence winners in CIPA's 15th annual competition in 2007.
"Vito brings strong industry insights to our panel as well as knowledge of local and global industry trends and directions," says Norm Kirkpatrick, CIPA president and CEO.
Mabrucco becomes the 14th member of the CIPA National Judging Panel. Led by Larry Simon, a partner with The Inflection Group in Toronto, the panel represents all regions of Canada and includes technology and communications experts from a broad cross-section of industries and public-sector organizations.
Mabrucco has held senior management portfolios in sales, technology, marketing, finance and strategic planning with companies such as IBM, Tandem, Compaq, Dell and most recently Cisco. He is a board member of the Information Technology Association of Canada and the Campaign Committee for the United Way of York Region.
