High Blood Pressure

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, occurs when the pressure in the arteries is too high. This in turn makes it more difficult for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. There may be no symptoms, but in severe cases headache, lightheadedness, nausea or vomiting, and nosebleeds may occur.
