Daily maintenance medications are prescriptions commonly used to treat conditions that are considered chronic or long-term. These medications are taken on a regular, recurring basis. Chronic conditions that may require maintenance drugs include hypertension, high cholesterol, COPD and diabetes, as well as many other ongoing illnesses.
